Hakka Abacus Seeds 客家算盘子

For a very long time I didn't cook this dish as I don't have my food processor by my side. That day I just wanted to prove myself wrong that without the food processor, I could still knead the dough and I made it! I was elated.

At this stage, the abacus seeds could be stored in the fridge for a few days before frying. No preservative used!

Please note that Chinese celery (芹菜), not Chinese parsley(芫荽) or cilantro was used in this dish in order to bring out the acquired taste of it. Dried shrimps can be substituted by dried shreded cuttlefish.

Non-vegetarian abacus seeds versus

vegetarian abacus seeds with eggs and bean sprouts.
