Thaptim: Thaptim is the name given by my Thai Adjand Khun Semsurk, means Red Ruby or Promegranate. I started cooking when I was 9 years old, very much influenced by my paternal and maternal grandmothers as well as my beloved mom. I seldom use commercial stocks and ajinomoto or monosodium glutamate (MSG) in my dishes except less than a handful of traditional dishes that couldn't do without it. Normally I use my well-developed taste buds to conduct seasoning rather than following a strict concoction. Thus the taste of dishes varies according to my mood though I am a rather stable person.
